Your experiences with backcountry kickers

i've always seen them in movies and awed over their size and perfection but recently had the oppurtunity to hit one and I just have to say I have the upmost respect for skiiers like eric pollard, pep fujas, etc. Once you go off one you get hooked....way more fun then any park i've ever been in. except i had to hike for like an hour to get back in bounds lol. Anyway leave some comments and stories about kickers you've hit or seen

They are super fun when you get them to work, but can be a huge bitch if there is no speed or the angle is off.

yeah, they're pretty hard to make. my mountain doesnt have a park so we build all the time. mostly just stomping out lips off cliffs now though, we've figured that you only build a booter if its really worth it and good snow for it...because you can get just as big of a jump off an natural feature without taking half your day.
