Stealing gear?

So I just got back from a very very shitty day at Snowbird. Decent snow, nothing too crazy, but going in to get food I put my skis on the rack, not thinking anything of it. 20 minutes later I came out to no skis..... so the one thing that has been keeping me sane during school and work and all the other crazy shit going on in life has been taken away from me. Basically this is just a rant for me trying to vent some of the total frustration and anger from today. People that steal gear deserve the absolute worst. I hope karma sneaks up on them and breaks their legs...

Do you want them to be found? post pics, specs etc. here and over at TGR. People should keep an eye out for them.

They were Rossi Scratch Brigades 178's with Rossi Axial2 140 Bindings. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of them.... if anyone sees anyone with a pair of these in the Salt Lake area that seems kinda sketchy please lemme know.... skibum1608@hotmail.com. I wish I had pics or something more to post about them...

Stealing skis is such a fucking horrible thing to do. Assholes should get a job or something. If anyone sees something dodgy, ask, it won't harm you.

Sometimes it's okay to steal:

Road signs (when drunk)
small but pointless items from takeaways (e.g. sandwich racks)
Shot glasses, pint glasses (beer glasses) spirit measurers etc.
Money off bad people. It's okay to act as a vehicle for Karma.
Any items that obviously won't be massively missed, but make for an enjoyable night out and the 'good steal' thumbs up.
If you are being ripped off, work out away of getting a 5 finger discount. It's karma. (e.g. Ferrys charge too much for food, so steal it)

It's not okay to steal when:

You get caught
It isn't listed above

condition on the skis was actually really good. the tips were starting to show a few but overall the skis were in excellent condition so it makes it a lot harder cuz there were no core shots, edge problems or anything like that... they were taken from the tram deck around 1:00 today and about 5 feet to the right of them was another pair of Rossi Brigades, same size, demo bindings that were from the lift house. when I called the lift house with the serial on the skis, they told me that they had been bought at the end of last season when they sold their demo skis. that was the only thing I figured it coulda been otherwise, just a mixup so I reported it and left a note with those skis which were in pretty shabby condition. maybe someone wanted to upgrade....

i meant the tips were starting to show a few chips.... same with the tails, otherwise just average wear and tear on the base. nothing too gnarly

my bad on the post above. somthing glitched on my computer. but that sucks your skis got stolen. my dad got his stolen once and he was pissed. hopefully you get them back soon

first of all, that fucking sucks, and i'm sorry that it happened. but, as the post above me said, you should get a lock now. i got a "ski key" and it works at all the places i go (certain racks) my home mountains and whistler. so, they're about $15-20, but you'll never have to worry about anything being stolen in the future.

i bought it because my home mountain snoqualmie pass, wa is notorious for having snowboards stolen. and, there are only a certain number of "freestyle skiers" at my mountain. so, if anyone stole my skis, i would know who it was, but i'm still not trying to risk that.

anyway, you should get a lock, and hope that the asshole who stole your shit gets arrested

^ exactly, locks are the answer to this kind of bullshit.  hope you get them back man... and yeah, we all hope karma sneeks up on the thief and screws him up.
