haha you Canucks are impossible to understand, I'm really confused by K rob. Anyway, what my over-arching point here is that I DON'T HATE CANADA. Just because some of my points seem to disparage our neighbor to the north, I have no animosities toward Canada. I acknowledge that you are our most important ally. My shit is from a historical perspective because I find the relationship between the two throughout history to be fascinating.

I look at patriotism as an emotion similar to pride, not a blind allegiance to anyone wearing your colors.

For Example:  I am a patriot who loves his nation because it allows him the freedom to say what is wrong with it.  I am also proud that so many people have strong opinions about the US because it shows they care about it.

You can take that however you want, but that's what I think most people think of.

you can tell because of the o's and the u's, for example, canadians generally spell neighboUrs, coloUr... im not very patriotic, but that was pretty disrespectful, not only did they insult canada, but also europe as a whole, haha

^ I'm guessing that it has to do with the fact that people are sick of getting extremely slanted news from the far left news outlets out there, which is pretty much every single on besides  Fox. You can't ignore ratings, fox is top dog these days in that section, and so is Bill Orielly.  Love or hate Fox, you can't say shit about their success.

MSNBC is bad. cnn is occasionally left leaning, but in general i think pretty fair. but neither of them compare to fox. it seems like every show is one big conservative bible thumping circle jerk
