i'm guessing thats because you havent seen the final videos yet. a lot more urban going to be in these this year along with the huge jon jumps so i think it will be amazing.

The videos are gonna be sick but the weather was a major let down this year. It seems like most of the features went to waste because of the weather. kinda sucks

Man...two weeks of consistently awful weather really took the wind out of this contest's sails. Hopefully, we'll still see ridiculous footy, but man...think how different everything would have been if the weather would have cooperated. Uggghhh....two weeks? Really? What a fucking let down.

Can we petition or do something to get a dvd with all of the final edits? Seriously, all of this work into these epic edits and you can just watch them online and maybe see a few in next years full production films. I want a dvd!

I've been here for the Sweden portion and I'm having a blast.

Certainly there's an air of pressure going on as teams look to get some different footy...but I think that's what could make it sick in that it's not perfect conditions; it'll really show the high level of talent that is here in both the athletes, filmers & photographers. They'll make what they've got to work with work for them. Bluebird can be repetitive. That said, I would not have complained about getting one shot on the Reverse Transfer in Bluebird @ sunset.

After a grueling two weeks in Norway and Sweden, the Jon Olsson Super Sessions has come to an end. After a beautiful presentation filled with awards, auctions, slideshows and last but not least, the seven video edits from the teams here at the JOSS. Some videos went for funny, some went for ski porn action, but in the end, ALL of the edits were amazing, well put together, thought out and executed perfectly. Not a poor video in the group, tonight.

Ultimately, it was the team from Norway — Andreas Håtveit, PK Hunder, filmers Jon Håtveit and Filip Christensen and photographer Thomas Kleiven — who took home the top honors tonight. Unfortunately, Team Norway member PK Hunder could not be present, due to the injury he sustained in last nights JOI competition. We wish PK the best and a speedy recovery, tonight is for him.

What an excellent competition! I am very impressed with all of the media coverage while the event was going on. I'm sure it attracted quite a few ski bums to their computers daily to find out, in my case, what was going on halfway across the world with a six hour time difference. I remember looking at my watch to see what time it was in Sweden to look for a potential update from NS, Jacob's or Jon's sites. However, I am rather disappointed to see the lack of coverage when it came right down to the wire. I am sure it was extremely hectic and I know everyone had to be exhausted, but we at home were practically drooling waiting to find out who won JOSS, amongst other awards. Also,  I was looking forward to seeing video from the awards ceremony and other last minute adjustments to the edits. It was rather anticlimactic and extremely disappointing the check NS and find that over 24 hours later, there was one post, with only a few pictures. As stated above, coverage throughout the entire competition was quite unbelieveable, but something better needed to be done to wrap up this contest for the rest of the world to see.

We were all exhausted and it was more hectic than you can even imagine, so I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. Dan and I damn near ran from the awards show to our hotel to post a quick update on who won to keep you guys informed, and then we had to fly to Stockholm first thing the next morning and we started working on the bigger awards update as soon as we checked into our hotel here. As for the NSTV episode on the awards, it's in the works and will be online soon, along with the edits from the teams, although as I mentioned in the article, it's going to take a bit of time, as getting seven massive and high-quality videos of this nature online is a much bigger and more complicated task than posting a three minute videoblog. Thanks for your patience everyone.

 You guys did alright. Couldn't get enough of the updates as I diligently checked every site and blog page for new updates. Props to you guys and I am green with envy that you were there and a part of the best and most entertaining two weeks of the year.

Will there be high def downloadable files available for these edits?

That is a harsh claim. That guy gets paid to make entertainment, and most skiers, especially during JOSS, are concentrating on other things than interviews. Still, he gets something out of the athletes, every fucking time.

You probably have heard of the rule: if you call someone a douchebag, you are a douchebag and you Aids-sir, are no exception. I'll let you "observave" some more.
