Groomer twin tip

yo guys. looking for some help. i'm looking to buy a new pair of skis. they are gunna be my groomer twins. this means im gunna keep them off rails and percy so i can ski rip east coast ice. they gotta be symmetrical. nothing too noodley, still need to pop outta butters. i want them to be playfull but still hold a solid edge. im 6 1, 180 for reference.

i have been thinking about the alpha 2 but don't really have any info on it (possibly symmetrical alpha1, little bit wider), other skis are the disorderly, anthems, renos, possibly afterbangs.

definitely on the stiffer side but i guarantee you could butter them since your bigger. They rip anything at high speeds, and super fun switch. the 2010's also have a reduced swing weight (dug out tips and tails). they are a ton of fun, i dont even ski that much park and i love them

c7 are a little too narrow. i hate plowing through softer snow. 87 is prolly the thinnest id go. and i would love to have them centre mounted where c7 shouldn't be. the guy who said the walls is pretty spot on, i never knew they were symmetrical. anyone skiied the reno rocker on hard snow?

anybody know anything about the nordica ignition skis? lookin for some new skis jw about these lokoin for a ski similar for just rippin all mtn east coast groomers and ice

I got anthems and they are a little fat and soft for groomers

also look at jon olsson pros, theyre not symmetrical but they are one of the best skis i have ridden on groomers twin tip or not

i own a pair of hellbents. i was out a whistler and skiied the mountain (EC conditions) and had a bunch of sled days so i used them in just about all conditions. of all my twins they have the best edges, and i had a blast on the hardpacked. ripping gs turns like i was on my race skis, yet still was able to pop some nice butters and dick around. so im thinking i want a similar experience with half the weight.

Check out the Moment Reno Freebird.
It is basically made to be a groomer twin tip, it has the most sidecut in their entire line, not quite symmetrical, but pretty close (119-85-111).

this sounds like the ski for you.  But if no rails, just carving (more reg than switch I assume), then why go symmetrical.  As a great all-around ski that you wouldn't dream of using on a rail are the volkl bridge.  Moment Tahoe is another option

I don't understand why you would want a twin tip specifically for groomers. That makes no sense whatsoever.

If you want a groomer ski get race skis or carvers.

Alpha ones are super fast on groomers (reference both freshly waxed alpha 1 faster than my volkl supersports(carving ski)) but they have a large turn radius

haha there is lots of different ways to ski down a groomer. backwards is obviously one of them. my brother is on the fis circuit and hooks me up with his old skis, i don't need a true carving ski. i would like a playful, symmetrical twin, fat enough not plow through soft clumps, yet confidence inspiring edge hold when its real hard/icey out.

i think he wants a ski that just carves really nice and short turns and is just a solid groomer ski
