The preferred medium that I was thinking of was Indesign/Illustrator.
For those of you curious/interested in what I have to say regarding design, keep reading. Anyone who wants to add dumb shit like "you're a noob" please go elsewhere.
I was hinting at it earlier when I stated that I wasn't sure what the process for transposing graphics to skis was. I'm in the print business right now as a Graphic Designer and I know all about the right way and wrong ways to build things.
A lot of people send us "ads" that they "designed". More often then not, they're completely screwed up and done totally wrong. Either using photoshop or Publisher(eww) they've sent us a file that's nearly useless or one that we have to play with and waste our time trying to fix/make it work.
Now I'm discussing this because it's a topic of interest of mine. Also, I'm tired of people claiming "Graphic Designer" title/status without knowing shit about it (this is probably due to the fact that I'm in Alaska).
I really like that Bluehouse is making a go at being a ski company that can compete with the other up-and-comer ski companies. While it's good marketing on their part to get kids stoked about their brand by having a ski designed by kids that would ride them, there is also a down side to it.
The downside would be the possiblility that they're going to recieve a lot of entries that they won't be able to use, or that they will have to play with a lot to make work. However, like I said before, I don't know the graphics-to-base process or the rules of entry for the design contest.
