Im a ski instructor myself an much of the time unless im teaching them how to use poles i don't use poles myself.

go in your garage and find your dads old ski poles and cut them down to your size and paint them to your liking. poles break way to easily

black poles are the worst because most rentals are black.  So some kid that lost his rental poles sees some black ones layin around and snags em.

everytime my cheap $3 dollar poles are stolen^^  i think, "well.... at least it wasn't my skis" cause then it would be time to start steppin on peoples' throats n shit.
