i own a blackberry storm, and i love it. verizon's coverage is much better where i am, and you can run multiple apps and background apps on it. but that's really the only thing better about it, or soon enough.
apple just released the 3.0 beta which will be released in june (i think?) but it is pretty much sweet. they now have MMS, copy and paste, and i think video function now without 3rd party apps. plus massive amounts of apps, something like 25,000 which most are useless but still.
personally i still love my storm, and i bought it because i do want a PHONE before anything else, which AT&T isn't good for. but i must say that with apples 2.0 software, i think the storm is about even...but once 3.0 is released (which is soon) the storm will need a serious overhaul to keep up.
if you have good service with AT&T where you are, i'd go iphone. that's coming from a storm user who loves his phone...but facts are facts.

I had this problem like a month ago and I chose iphone.
Pretty much, I'd rather be a drone with an iphone than an addict with a crackberry - but it's total personal preference and I think I'm an addict either way.
The widescreen option is pretty sick, but it depends on what you're using it for. Lots of emails? Get storm. Lots
of video? Get iphone. The keypad is kind of a bitch, but it
autocorrects very well.
Just turn it off every couple of days because apparently they get 'tired' (quote from the tech guy)

my dad has the storm and he loves it~ I played with it for a bit and the clicky shit is pretty cool, i would go iphone myself though

with the new 3.0 software for the iphone it allows texting and emails to be able to e done sideways in the horizontal position which will make the keyboard much bigger and thus easier to type
Btw I got my i phone for christmas and have been loving it ever since... apps and all of the other functions cannot be beat...

the review on endgadget is complete shit. do you own a storm? if not then i would just shut up. i already gave my opinion, so you can see how i feel about this.
but let me say that the storm is definitely very close to the iphone 2.0 software that's currently out.
as long as you update to the new beta leaks that are released, the storm is great. haven't had a battery pull in a week (only because i installed a new app that required it). memory leak is virtually gone, and OS is very stable.
not to mention that i can run two programs at once, can MMS my friend without getting it sent to my email, can copy and paste things i need to know about and can actually MAKE A PHONE CALL without it being dropped. those are just a few of the things that the storm can do that the iphone cannot.
i'd call them even until 3.0 is released, then i'll give the edge to the iphone. but you must remember that by then the storm will be much better then as well. so please shut up.

to say the iphone cant make calls is complete bs i have had mine for almost 4 months and can honestly not remember one dropped call.. i think it is more where u are at cause im sure there are places verizon doesn't get any service...

I got the iPhone and it is fucking sweet, especially if you are a mac user. Plus the Apple customer service is great...at least in all my experiences..
