Snow fence instead of turf?

What have you guys experienced with the plastic snow fence how well does it work/ hold up?

In my experience Snow fence works the best on top of astro turf.

The best combination is to put down a layer of turf over a smooth and level surface (i.e. plywood). Once put down, layer a strip of snow fence on top of the turf. This will provide for a much faster sliding surface, that will still retain any aids you wish to use (water, dishsoap, etc). Also, it will hold a fair amount of snow in the winter as well.

It is a plastic-style lattice of fencing that allows for easy sliding on skis.

Not unless there are any sharp outcropping rocks or surfaces that would gouge into the base. Most people drastically underestimate how strong and durable the base of a ski actually is, especially when the ski in question is a freestyle ski - made to take a beating. Grass and mud and dirt will do nothing to your bases. Have no fear.

but in all truth you could visit your local, lowes or home depot i priced it out and you could nab 25' x 24" for about $10 or something its cheap, or just steal it, thats how i found mine

is it necessary to soap or shampoo the turf/fence mix? or is it okay dry?

the cheapest shit i could find was a roll of 40 feet at home depot for 30 bucks. obviously i dont need that much, so i didn't buy it. ace had the same deal. where could i buy it by the foot? and i can't steal any cuz there aren't many construction sites by me and the one that are near me use chain link fence.
