Are next years park skis much better than this years?
I've been wondering if there's any reason to wait until next year to buy new skis. I don't need new skis right now, but I'm thinking I might come over some nice offers post-season. So my question is if you know about any significant improvements on next years skis that I should wait for...
Right now I use some Head J.O. Pros, which in my mind are too stiff and too thin on the middle. I also found out that I should be using longer skis than 169s (my first twintip season). I've been looking at Line skis, as they seem to fit my needs better, and I like Line more as a company because of the traveling circus etc. I love this years Anthem graphics, and I hate next years Anthem graphics!
I'm interested in other brands too. Should I wait until next season?
ummm the afterbangs are really the only progressive ski next year, all models will be "better" cause that was another year testing so they can tweak things on em. but really if ur new and dont really care about havin the newest shit, buy some previous years models.
oh and those JOs ur on are sick, trust me the narrowness and stiffness makes em the best jumping ski ever....mabey not so much for rails though
Yeah I love jumping with em but I just so happen to be skiing at a resort with practically no jumps! Therefore, me and my buddies have to kinda find our own jibs. I wish I was smart enough to choose the right length on my skis too, they go up to my nose, which I think is kinda short. Anyways, in a jump-less resort, these skis don't seem so good.
Maybe I can use em for the times we go to better resorts though...
if you like hitting jumps then you will want anthems...but since you said you mountain is jump less afterbangs would be a pretty good ski to just tool/jib around on.
i ride Fischer Addicts, and they are pretty burly park (but slay all mountain) skis. they are 2008s, the 2010's have indents cut out of the tips and tails to reduce swing weight which i guess is pretty sick.
