How come nobody backflips cliffs anymore?

well, maybe they do, but it used to be the coolest thing ever, and in my books, it still is. they are so sick, but it seems as if they have fallen out of style

Since rockered skis, I feel like possibilities have multiplied and people prefer trying spins off of them and landing switch, which seemed impossible a few years ago. So we see less backflips, but many people still do it.

people are still rockin' the backflips off cliffs in my neck of the woods.

I'm currently trying to build up the courage to backflip a cliff with a downhill take off (only done them off cliffs with a bit of uphill lip on them)... pretty intimidating shit I must say.

i read an interview with seth a while back and he said that when he backflips really big cliffs it is really hard to get his skis around just because the tips are so wide and the wind resistance wont physically let him bring them around.  there are a few shots of wrecks in focused where you can see his body is around but his skis wont come around cuz he is going too fast.  i think that is why he has started switching to front flips it would be easier to bring them around on bigger cliffs, especially now that his pro model is even wider.

In the Crested Butte Extremes junior division a kid did a double back off of a cliff and stomped it, i think it was his first one to. Unfortunately, he fell later in his run right before the finish gate

personally i loved seeing huugebackflips, and that one^ was dopee he stomped the shit outa it.   but it seems like backflips off like huge cliffs were always like land-on-your-back style, not actually landing them.. and i know its like physically impossible to land huuge ones on your feet, but that seems to be whats more popular lately
