Just got some Jesters (used) and there's a decent amount of wiggle in both toe pieces, and it's very disconcerting at high speeds. Anybody had this and/or been able to fix it?
i bet ur boot toe is wiggling in the binding toe piece...
when i tried out a pair of rossi s7s that had griffons on them both my toes were wiggling (the toe of my boot was wiggling not the actual binding)
My SPK's have the same issues due to the fact that the sole of the boot is designed in such a way that it prohibits the boot from sitting flush on the toepiece of my Griffons.
i got a pair on some bacons and i have so much wiggle. IT SUCKS. i went to a shop and they said send them back at the end of the season. i ski spk boot.
i also heard rumors that next years jester/griffon will have an adjustable toe piece
Mine did that as well. Apparently the worm screw in the heel piece gets stripped very easily, so the forward pressure loosens itself after about a day of skiing. Take them back to your shop, marker should warranty them.
It's the toe height. The jester's/griffons have automatic toe height adjustment, but the system's been less than perfect for marker this year. Basically the binding doesn't clamp down too well vertically on the toe of the boot. Apparently it's one thing marker's tried to fix for next season. I haven't experienced this, only read and heard about it. There's someting about the idea of a 16 DIN plastic binding, it just doesn't make sense.
I'm riding a pretty fresh pair of dalbello rampages with little wear on them, that's definitely not the case. The toe piece is literally wiggling at the main pivot point between the base plate and the toe, it's pretty weird. I brought it into a shop and they had no idea and told me I was fucked, so I really have no idea.
fuckkk mine do this too, mine are last years aka first gen. would amrker stillw arentee them? anyone know? also i ahve walls which are centered aka i cant really remount without heli coiling= a bitch. they also ruined me new boots( agent 80s) the toes are all torn up because of the suppposed" auto adjusting bullshit"
