For anyone planning traveling to NZ for off season

Unfortunately, that will do them more harm than good

Numbers will fall dramatically because of that - particularly with the skiers coming from the Nth Hemisphere, plus I think they will lose a lot of business to Cardrona

Plus season passes guarantee them income whether the passholder skis there or not, instead of relying on a forecast number of guests buying day passes

that sounds kinda dumb. its a first for sure

shot bro and making a thread about why not to come to nz this season is gona make things a whole lot better for the nz ski econonmy

well its better people know than arrive here and have to pay fuck loads for a season at snow park. i mean who wants that to happen. also if you look on the website "March 17: Snow Park Scales back Operations for Winter 2009". read it.

No, they haven't. NZSki.com pricing hasn't shifted at all from last year. Lay off the chron dude. It's still a very attractive option for people from basically anywhere in the northern hemisphere due to our exchange rate being so low against the greenback.

Treble Cone season pass; $999 before the end of March.
Cardrona season pass; $690 before the end of April.
Coronet, Remarkables and Mt Hutt; $1199 until 5th June
Coronet and Remarks; $999 until 5th June

Anyone planning on coming should have already sorted their passes anyway, they were alot cheaper in Feb.

Ummm I really dont know what your on about... I live in Queenstown and have already got my season pass for Coronet and Remarks and just waiting on the cheap deal to come through the school for Snowpark. $99 for SP, Bargin!!

no, you can tell them there are no season pass'es, but dont tell them not to come, cardrona is still a legit option for park, you went about it wrong

well, he didn't actually say not to come, he just said it was going to be more expensive. but yea I agree there's heaps of other sick options out there aside from snowpark. I'm guessing cardies will be packed this year cause of this.

yeah bit like you said befor, this exchange rate bullshit is gona make things hella cheap for anyone coming from the states, everything is half price, itl be cheaper than other years

cardrona's park is legit. they stepped it up big time last year and had a line the whole way from top to bottom with a 4 jump line and more rail features than i can count on two hands. the superpipe was pristine too! are those prices listed above is in NZ dollars because the NZ dollar right now is worth 52 cents to an american dollar so that cuts those prices in half.

yea man, those prices are all in NZD. If you were thinking of going to SP get a cardies pass and get a few lift tickets to SP during the season.

Cardies still has a good park, and is right across the road from snowpark so you still get the wanaka experience. Plus you get the bonus of having the rest of the mountain to ski.

Last year the NZD was at about 74c against the USD so things are going to be alot cheaper this season for people from the US
