Calling all ARV owners

so i'm a fairly big guy 6'3" 190lb and ski 70% allmountain and the rest park out west.  I want something soft, but that i can still charge with. 


Sooo is the ARV too soft at high speeds or is it managable?

My 220lb bud does pretty well on his 185cm ARG's. They go pretty quick and don't seem to smack around too much. Fine in powder too, obviously with the decent waist. Can definately hit the park, but doesn't excell with the stiffness. Overall, great all mountain ski.

As far as softness, they're definately softer than my Rossi Brigade BC's, but no where near as soft as any park skis. Definately a mid-stiff flex.

Im 6'2" and 175 and rode 185 arvs, needless to say they were noodles. Softest skis I had ever seen, until I got my EPs. They can care pretty well for a ski of its ski, but at high speed ripping they get chattery.

You said you buddy has ARGs, op is looking for ARV owners. The ARVs are softer than the ARGs.

they are noodley. they're great for park and light pow. in chopped pow they honestly just dont do the job. they get chattery at high speeds on groomers.

I love shreding in my arvs. They're a heavy ski (Granted I got the 04s) but they kill it. Never had a more fun ski. Thought about selling em like 6 times, even made a thread, and went back out on em and descided otherwise. Pow they fucking rule, park they're fun and supper buttery. Fast speads they chatter but not bad. They're so long they feel stable no matter. 6'2" 190 East coast/westpow

im 6' 6'' and i hate mine there ok park skis thats about it they chatter like a shivering 5 year old! u should deff look  into a stiffer ski such as a salomon gun or volkl bridge

I have the 06/07 ARVs in 175, the ones with teh noodles as the graphic.

And yeah, they are noodles. I love them in the park, and they can carve pretty well, but in the trees they wash-out too much, and they chatter like crazy when you try to charge. Also, they don't do well in the sluff.

Overall, I'll say that I liked them when I skied back home in MA in the park. But for all-mountain purposes, I prefer something a little stiffer

they carve really well, ski park really well, but when charging their okay, they do chatter, depending on how fast your going.

guns are soft skis too. bridges could be an option if you are looking for a stiffer tiwin.

I love ARVs. My friend has them, and he says that they work great on every thing, but the edges give you hella splinters when they are worn down a lil bit...

i had the 05/06 arvs, and they were my favorite ski of all time...they were soo light, so flexy and poppy!

u wont regret getting them man.
