Buying a longboard at sports authority..?

Is it worth it? I got an $100 girft card to Sports authority for my birthday and i've wanted a longboard for a long time. Im not trying to buy a crazy nice expensive board but i dont want it to suck either..

depends what brands they have. look at Phish and ladyachtz boards if they have them

Sell your giftcard online or at sports authority (someone who might be checking out, offer em it for 90$ or something).

Take the cash, go to a shop and buy a decent board. You'll be helping the shop, and you'll (most likely) be getting better service because of it.

Sports Authority doesn't give a shit about you once you swipe that card.

I wish i had the option to exchange the gift card for money, i dont want to go through the trouble of selling it online. But i think i might just buy a kracked skull or an insect or something anyways.

from my experience the cheaper, shitty boards come from stores like that. they are thick decks, with no spring in the board itself, basically a longer skateboard. if i were you i'd just get something from sports authority that's not a longboard that catches your eye and go get a longboard from a company that makes them. I love my sector 9 by the way.

My bro bought a bike from them..WORST DECISION EVER!!

fortunatle we go the insurance on it and the couldnt fix it cuz there dumn as shit so we got the money sent back to the credit card
