I would like a new PS3 game, and I want your guys suggestions

so i'm broke kinda, but recently got some money and since I only have COD 5 (which i f-ing love) I want to get a new game. Preferably a used game because I don't have lots of dollar bills to spend.

i like COD a lot, the first person shooter games are probably my favorite but stuff like Skate 2 is also pretty awesome. I've looked at gaming forums top 10 lists and stuff but i'm wondering if there's some less known gems you guys may have found.

so basically, does anybody have any games that they're totally addicted to that they'd recommend for a poor college student?

Socom sounds pretty good, from what i've seen its pretty similar to COD.

and i would get skate 2 but my roommate has it so i just play his a lot

he just got KillZone 2 which is sick if anybody is interested in getting it. super intense and challenging too

If you like shooters, check out Killzone 2. You couldn't go wrong with skate 2 either.

But if you can download stuff, download some emulators and play classic games that you like.

trade in cod5 and get cod4, its way better.

sports wize you cant go wrong with either nhl 09 or tiger woods 09.

shooting i would check out killzone 2, resident evil 5, or if you want a older cheaper game take a peak at drakes uncharted fortune. surprizingly really sick but no point of playing it without a HD tube.

if you are a baseball fan MLB 09 The Show is fucking sick.  otherwise, i would suggest Killzone 2, or any number of the other ideas mentioned.

hm, warhawk was a launch game, it's online only, pretty sure it's cheap now though. check the psn store. it's a mix of a vehicle and ground shooter

This game is fun, but the learning curve sucks. Everybody that's been playing it has been playing it for a super long time and is pretty damn good. I'm not saying don't get it, but it will be hard at first.
