Has anyone ever transferred to UC @ Boulder

I heard it is pretty much fucking hard to get in out of state and something like 3% is out of state at the school.  Just wondering if there is any success stories on here.

yea i looked at the wrong number.  The 3% is international.  Its more like 20% or something.  But still the school is no joke when i was applying for colleges the average SAT score for out-of-state applicants was like 1350 or something.  Right now I have like a 2.9 as an ME major and just wondering how tough it will be to get in.

oo and ME major = not alot of ski time, but i hate NY and would like to be near the best when I do have the time.

There are some dumb kids there, this isn't even a tier 2 school, I assume the average SAT is around 1200-1250. They should be happier about out of state kids since they pay higher tuition.

UC Boulder is not that hard to get into at all.. you need like a 3.2 or less. its definitely more than 3% out of state, and people do transfer. its also pretty far from skiing compared to out schools

My buddies older brother transferred in for psychology, he said I could probably get in with a 2.5.

A chick I know transferred in to sociology there and I don't believe her grades are really that good either.

the SAT scores are now based off of 2400, i'm not sure when you last took an SAT, but there are now 3 sections: reading, writing, and math. so 1350/2400 is alot easier to get than 1350/1600.

i go to colorado school of mines, which is like 20 min south of boulder = 20 min closer to skiing and the engineering programs are good here too. earlier this year i took a look into transferring to CU for aerospace engineering, and was basically told transferring there for engineering is kinda hard...

just shoot the department you're looking to get into an email and they'll be able to help you out

try more like 50% out of state... they love raping us with tuition, so they have the max percentage of students from out of state allowed by law. its damn fun here, just can't afford it anymore

i got into cu boulder with a 3.2 gpa and 1450 on SATS
and no, its almost 50% out of staters, dont know where this 3% bullshit comes from

and yeah, its CU not UC, UC is cali, CU is colo

theres only like 400 transfer students per year and a total of about 9000 new students together a year. so its about 4%.
