Working on it in sketchup, I think it's coming along quite well:

The curved part will be plywood that will be bent and drilled into place. Green = turf, brown = plywood, white = 2 x 4s. (Underneath all the green is brown, the plywood will be covered with turf)

I must say that it's cool you can do cad drawings. however, this is a drop-in we're talking about, and its a lot cheaper if you just go off of what you can find for free, rather than spend money to make a real pretty one. See that monster in the post above yours? I bought a sheet of plywood and some nails for that whole thing. Total cost, $18. My drop is 12 feet tall, and if I prep it right, we can hit a quarterpipe. Rock the free section on craigslist and don't overthink it, because let's face it, it's a drop-in, it doesn't need to pass OSHA standards and it can be done with far less than you'd think. That's just my opinion on the matter though.

probly gonna post a pic in the rail thread too... this is our only pic for now, its 6 1/2 feet high, adjustable to some extent, and can be completely dissassembled and stored. also gives you plenty of speed depending on how you set it up...

Yeah but I've got $160 saved up from doing random work, so I want to build this the best I possibly can so that I never have to rebuild it. If I do it right, I'll just have to do little tune ups every now and again, and I'll never have to worry about it falling apart or breaking. I figure it's worth the extra money and time if it will last me like 6 summers, you know?

This is how ours turned out:

The rail ended up as at 10 feet, I know short but I have no experiance with rails at all. Atleast since Febuary when I was competing in slopestyle I tried to through a rail into my run... Landed on my gut and knocked the wind out of me. So I have already fell on it 2 times pretty harsh. The rail is about 16 inches off the ground slightly higher than the lip. It took us 3 days to build. If you check my profile you can see all the steps we took. Heres my friend Patrick Foster AKA P-fo hitting our rail:

We got this thing perfect there are no flaws except later on we will need a rail around 5ft longer and some of that orange construction tape!

its about 5.5 and the ramp comes in around 37 degrees i think. i dont remember my specs on the tranny or kicker. shit works about as good as i could have ever hoped and the kicker is big enough to get a clean 5 off of with no rail
