09 Line Chronics or 09 Line Invaders?

 09 Chronics or Invaders? Im 6foot 170 pounds Ill be riding 75%park 25% AM, I like jumping better than rails but I do ride rails alot. What size should I get 181cm or 176cm? Also if I get the Chronics were should I mount them?

like 50-60 feet? if so then you will probably want chronics

chronics are a great big jump ski, stiff and slightly fatter than the invader

if you want a more fun ski that you can butter and rail really well and will handle medium and some of the smaller larges well then go with the invader

yaa i would say invaders, just because of how stiff the chronics are. so they arent good for rails. but i heard the topsheet of the invaders chip off form the where.

anyone know of a good ski in between these two?

at least in terms of durability cuz i dont want something as stiff as the chronic but i want something more durable that the vaders

how are stiff skis bad for rails...i know kids who ride chronics that can switch up 4 out and what not.
i would definately go with the chronics or for a inbetween ski CoreUPT urban rise sick from what i have herd

chronics are stiff and super durable. invaders are really fun if youre doing rails and jibbing, but they suck on big jumps. urban punx are absolute noodles, crazy soft.

really id imagine the punx to be a stiffer ski. wow thats suprising. ya i definitly have it narrowed down to the AR6, The invader or the Chronic. are the chronics good on rails/boxes. i know they are about as light as the invader and the anthems

I would say get the chronics, I got them and they are perfect for jumps. You can still make butters with them you just need to work a little harder. They are good on rails, not as much as the invaders but you can still definatly kill rails with those very sick ski!

I have 171's and they are normal I think, they're not way too heavy but I had moment jibs before wich are like the lightest skis so I can't really tell. Ask me if you have any other questions on the chronics.

I want to point you out that Atomic has "punx" and "urban punx".
The urban punx are a soft symmetrical pair of skis, similiar to the invader.
They are good for rails jibbing and buttering around.
The punx are stiffer then the urban punx, they are better for jumps and they do well
in the pipe.

i dont know one person why cant butter their chronics. its not that hard. plus a ski will become more playful over time.

What are you talking about?  My Invaders are super durable.  It's cap construction.  It doesn't chip nearly as easy as a sidewall ski.

i have 176 chronics mounted 3 back and they are perfect for everything, its not as stiff as people say it is either. they are lightweight and great for all conditions

I am thinking of buying the chronics. I am 5'0 tall and weigh 80lbs and I ski 50%carving and 50%park .  I like doing jumps and sometimes rails would they be a good ski for me or would they be too stiff?

Well since you  like jumps more anthems ould prob be better and they're also really good for rails too.

invaders are also really sickthe thingis they're not that stable on bigger jumps

Go for the Chronics in 181. Since you fo more jumping than jibbing, you'll be thankful for the extra length.

So I got the invaders, I love them they are light slay rails and spin great but fuuuucccck..... hitting bigger jumps is scary, they get really squirrelly at speed up the ramp and landing.... I think im going to get the chronics also... has anybody centermouted chronics? How do the perform centermounted?

Ya i would get the anthms. They are exactly in between the chronic and the invader and since you are going to being hitting a lot more jumps i would not center mount go a couple minus like 2 or 3. But dont get the invader it will hold you back when you are pushing yourself on bigger jumps and higher speeds.

thats one of the dumbest things ive ever heard.

chronics, stability is the key word here. on jumps itll give you a much better landing platform, and its not that stiff of a ski, break it in and you'll be buttering around on it in no time. the double thickness sidewall as well as base and edge makes for a super durable ski. for what you're doing, there is no other choice.

I agree on Chronics, i ride them and they are awesome for jumps. They are stiff for lines, which isn't too stiff anyway. I'm like 116lbs and i can flex them, so you'll probably be fine. They're not bad on rails either.

the line invaders are great on rails but not the best skis on huge jups. line invaders are great urban skis.

mine are mounted 1 cm back from dead center. after a little experimentation, that seems to be the best spot for mounting these guys.

I would get a 181 chronic if you are hitting big jumps. If you are planning 75% park i would mount them at center or like -1. I have a friend who has center mounted chronics and he loves them.
