Line Remote Pack (and other bags)

Im looking to buy a rather compact bag to use while skiing as well as for every day stuff, and was looking at the Line Remote pack. I think it looks kinda good, size seems okay (Im sure a 13" laptop will fit in it? thats a requirement). doesnt need a lot of other space tbh, some for a notebook and the powercord etc but thats it. ski holder straps are a big plus
one thing though is that most backpacks will have a waist strap and I was hoping to find one where you can take that out or hide it somehow. its unnecessary and looks kinda silly when not actually using or needing it. is this the case with the line remote pack ?
any tips would be well appreciated

a thirteen inch backpack should fit.. i manage to fit a TON of stuff in my remote pack
you can't hide the waste straps, but they are not very conspicuous, and there are a TON of ski carry-variations. i think the diagonal one works the best....
it is a sick back pack. really low profile, yet there is a ton of space. it is also COMPLETELY waterproof. that is a huge plus for me...

def. if im not carrying too much, i can cram a 17'' mac in it. i never ski with a laptop though ( dont want to break it), and its real low profile,

good idea.
when i bought my Line, it was only 29.99, and the heli pro was atleast 50.
if you are down with spending a little more money, then i would go for the Dakine.
but for what i payed, i am more than happy with the Remote pack.

why do you say you'd get the dakine bag? any specific reason?
currently just having a look around to find shops that have both (in europe) as I'll be paying twice as much for shipping as I am for the bag if I wanna have it come over from the US :/

dakine is renowned for their backpacks. line is known for their skis.
also, EP rides for Line, and Dakine, But he opts to use a Heli Pro. there must be a reason for that.
Plus the Dakines that i have seen feel more durable, especially on the patterned "shovel blade pouch"
i haven't had any problems with my Line though. more than happy.
