Have we forgotten about skiing?

I feel like its way too easy these days to get cought up in just about everything ski related except for SKIING. "BLAH BLAH BLAH, Tom Wallisch, Nick Martini, goggles, skis, leather boots, more skis, taller t shirts, Tight pants."

I love this sport to death, I live for it. All I'm saying is that with  more and more money going into the ski business we as a community cant lose track of what we all came here to do, ski.

(Ironically I'm making a thread about skiing which very much falls into the category of skiing related things that arent skiing)

amen. I am guilty of spending too much time on NS. But it is my grades that suffer, not my skiing time.

You may be that exception that im talking talking about, if you want you could always grab snow from an near by ice rink or make a back yard jib, set up a halogen work light and it doesn't matter what time it is, instant skiing no matter how minimal it may be.

Also think to yourself "has being on this website ever taken time away from doing something else, which in turn has reduced the available time to ski'?

I just got out of the clinic tonight and although I will be unable to ski properly myself, I plan on going up there and taking pictures and filming instead of sitting on NS saying how I can't ski. (thats how much i love this sport)

I dont want to get into a big argument over this though, it seems very trivial arguing over whether or not someone else loves the greatest sport ever as much as you, only you will be able to put a value on that. Hope to see a fellow ski lover out on the hill and get some pow turns with ya.

I agree with you I mean I see kids all the time buying new shit ect and not giving a damn about actually skiing. I could care less about what I wear to be honest with you I wear tall tee's and baggy pants because thats what I wear on a regular basis and could care less about matching or having the nicest gear. I rarely get to go skiing because I live an hour and  a half from the mountain and cant drive so anytime I get to ski I have the biggest smile on my face and dont care about anything in the world.

I'll totally agree with that. But good skiers are good skiers and good skier know good skiers or at least should.
Maybe there was always a scene, just now the scene turned neon.
