New ipod shuffle

Just saw this and all i have to say is WOW apple you guys are fucking idiots.
The only way you can change songs is on the apple earbuds that it comes with. to my understanding if you want to rock other headphones, like not shitty apple ones, then you cant change the song, turn up the volume or do anything.
The only plus is its really small and its 4gb's. Otherwise 2nd gen shuffles FTW, dont stop making them apple.

i thought of the onion when i saw it. I was like "wait, how did the onion hack apples site?" Then i came to my senses and just realized apple failed.
Forgot to mention the gimmick is "The ipod that talks to you"

what a joke, seriously i've given up on ipods after only owning one.  i have the sandisk sansa clip 4gb, it has a screen, wicked fast fastforward for long dj sets, manual eq, and so on, and most importantly really good sound for an mp3 player,

what they shouldve done was make it a 1.5 inch touch screen the same size as the original nanos screen and all touch it would be a tad bigger than the old but it would have a screen although it would have to be pretty expensive....

its sick... other than the headphone thing. but that ruins it. and is really dumb. but then again a large portion of the "shuffle market" are people who dont give a shit about headphones and will just use the apple ones anyways.



on a side note. when are they coming out with a bigger touch. 60 pus gigs would be nice

They're saying that other headphones work with it, but you can't change the volume or hear song info. They should've made the volume function still available and I don't think there would've been a problem.

that control scheme is crap.

i imagine they will come out with a cable that you plug into the shuffle and has the controls on the end then a female couple so you can plug any headphone into it....
