PE's or STL's

Iv'e got a choice right now between used PE's and STL's for about the same price.

I'm 5'9" 160lbs.  Would these size ski's be okay for me (177 stl, 179 PE)?  I'm not that great of a skier but am hoping to get better.

Between these two, which would you chose?  The STL's come with axial's whereas the PE's come with axium's, which I know aren't as good.

This has been established..

 I had a pair of PE's when I was just getting into park and stuff and they were a great do it all ski.. they feel kind of dead and heavy though. They are a good all-mountain ski that you can take into the park really. They are pretty bombproof too. I don't know anything about STLs though, hope that helped.

What about the ski's themselves though?  Am I looking at too big a ski for my size/skill?

Thanks dominant.  I think one of my main concerns is length.  I dont' think i'm a good enough skier to even notice the difference between the PE's and stl's.  That said, do you think 177 is too long a ski for me?

If you want to use them for park on any kind of consistent basis, do not get the PEs. I don't know a hell of a lot about the STLs, but as the other guy said the PEs feel very... dead. They're amazing all-mountain, they will shred anything at your mountain a new one, but they don't pop for shit. If you're trying to learn stuff on jumps or rails you will get very frustrated very quickly.

If the price is the same, id pick up the STLs. It seems like most people here hate the PEs.

i'd go for the stl's if i was you. i had some pe's in a 159 and they fell apart in half a season. not a great riding ski and they just didn't hold up at all.
