Manual Focus Wheel for HV30

Anyone with an HV30 knows that the focus wheel sucks, its impossable to shift focus smoothly. Thankfully, some guy at hv20.com built a ring that you attach to the front of your camera that lets you focus like you would a prosumer cam or dslr.

Its a really good add on for anyone with a HV20/30/40, and its also just one guy doing it, not a company or anything so its good to support him.

Rings are $38 + shipping

I've seen legit DIY ones before, but this looks like it would save me some hassle and the price isn't too bad.

Does this affect lens usage?

Im still waiting on mine, should get here this week

The ring has the same threads as the camera does(43mm), so all your lenses will still attach, although im guessing there might be a bit of vingenetting

UPDATE

got mine in the mail today, what a great product. It was a bit different than I expected, I thought it screwed into the camera threads, but it actually just slides over the barrel of the camera. This way there is no problem with using lenses or filters. It is extremely easy to use and allows easy focusing. I would highly recommend buying one of these. I will try to put up some sample footage soon
