ok real quick summary of what i just saw, or at least as much of it as i could stomach...

1. busted ass attempt to make something look like its projected on a wall
2. guy with a bowl cut rapping
3. guys name in a font found on microsoft word or something
3. guy in a straight jacket smoking a butt cos hes 'edgy' or something, i didnt quite get the metaphor
4. guy with long blonde hair who looks like chloe sevigny with no shirt on and a pants/underwear combo stolen off a south-central gang banger circa 1997 throwing up gang signs...with rollerblades on.

after that i stopped watching.

ha yea I just realized that about half of the video was filmed there, then I searched and saw he was from Kansas City so it makes sense. Its pretty cool to your campus get dominated like that

So true. I'm so glad I rollerbladed back when people didn't wear tight pants. It was nice and fun, and I got out of it just in time, before the homo-tight stuff.

Nothing can touch skiing, ever.

However, these skaters (yes, skaters - they skate - rollerblading is a gaper term) have some serious talent and its curious that it hasn't become more popular among skiers. So much of this stuff translates so well to the snow. The rails, the halfpipe stuff, etc.  For anyone who is stuck without snow in the summer months who wants to improve their skills, they would be wise to pick up a pair of skates for sure! 

Just an opinion - I'm sure there are a lot of others who will disagree.

so excited and stoked, not to thread jack but, i bmx and can grind all kinds of crap and rarely wax stuff, i figure if im sticking go faster next time.  so, on blades what can you grind/not grind and what and how often should you wax stuff? and no, i havnt SB'd yet

some of the grinds were cool in the sense that skiing grinds are evolving too but any sport where half the names are essentially taking random words and putting them together...i just can keep up with

no matter wat insane tricks they do tho it looks so messy, especially all their stupid rail grinds.

Rollerbladers will never even come close in style compared to skiiers even if their tricks are 100x more difficult.

from boone themselfs, thank you! nothing can ever touch skiing becuase its on snow. besides that, these guys are probabley having just as much fun. snow makes our sport unique, makis it interesting, making it limiting, and gives us a sense of ownership over it when we are good. there nothing like that for "skating," but it looks to me that its second best. some of you may skate and say that the best thing without snow, but i think its just to tech with your feet and too low to the ground to ever be closer than this kind of skating. i like tramps more than any other activity in the summer tho haha. just my 2 sense... anyone agree?

If you think style is not moving then I guess thats ok, but maybe you should open your eyes a little? Its a different kind of style for a different sport. Sure you can do straight rails with spins out but thats not nearly as tech or impressive as doing all the crazy shit you see.

Besides, if you don't like it because it didn't look good, then do you ski because that looks good to you? Or do you ski because its fun?

Broskow is now a twig/skinny crackhead lookin' guy that dresses in 80's color-ways and tight pants.... kinda like yourself from what i remember of your pics (might be wrong), not saying you look like a crackhead either btw. He's so good, he just looks like a crackhead now. I slowed down on skating before he blew up, now i'm slowly getting back into it. But back to the convo, that video shows how skating used to be (still think the skating is insane in it) now..... it's insane. look at skiing around that time...... i think it looked dumb as fuck. When xgames first started doing ski slopestyle and skiboards i thought that shit looked so easy, it was all the things in rollerblading i could do already but easier and with much softer landings. So i don't know what you were watching, but maybe you should stick to skiing and out of these threads.... just a thought

 i didnt one time dress like an absolute kook then decide that trends have changed and i should too.  you just told me that rollerblading changes styles based upon what is 'cool' at the time.
