Why are salomon bindings so bad??

i got a pair of salomon bindings and the "20 yr warrenty" lasted about one season the brakes are broken and they just suck... dose any one know any other good park bindings that are reliable?

axial 2 120 or 140s. px 12 jib. idk, a lot of people get the FKS150 too

i cant give u an exact reason why other than they just suck. it seems like everything solly made this year has been designed to break..and they wont warranty anything thats hit rails and park skiers are their target market...its BS.

sth's and s916's are bomb

i had a pair of z12ti's and broke them twice, sent them in payed 70 bucks for sth14's and they rock hard.

STH14s are basically the same as the 12's - the big difference comes with the 16's

It's the same principle as s912/914 and then the jump to the 916 - basically the 914's were shit unless they were LAB

ive had markers and rossis break ono me but never salomon...but then again i didnt get any of their 09 gear. (thank god)

I'm skiing one pair of 916s and two STH 16s. Everything else that they make sucks (too much plastic and too easily released), but their brakes aren't very good across the board.

The brakes do seem to fuck themselves on sollys, but my sth 16s are way doper than my old rossi axial 12s

Ill ride my fks on the skinnier skis, and 916/sth16 on my wide ones. 

I still prefer my fks150 Full-metal geze over anything, even my p18.  Its the best of both worlds, High din, metal, with vertical release.

The 80mm waist width requirement is bullshit.  They have a thinner pattern than most bindings nowadays anyway.  I have seen many pairs mounted on wall moguls, and they have a ~65mm waist.

Look/Rossi turntables (15 and 18 din) are the only bindings I've found to actually hold up, and even then, the brakes on them snap so easily.

If you wanna know why Salomon Bindings suck take your bindings apart and take a look at the overall system, the whole thing is like made out of plastic.

good solly binders are:

zz lab 914+916

s916, sth16

basically any other full metal one they made which are now older than me.


the other ones are all plastic and break way easier.

I dont think its fair to base a bindings quality on its brakes...I broke many a brake on my px12s and my fks brakes kinda blow too...

Salomon brakes are kinda annoying with those shity twist screw things that dont seem to hold the metal piece in though(sth16) but once that is sorted out I havent gotten problems...

Brakes are reasonably cheap...and if you want good bindings dont buy cheap z10s and say salomon sucks

I have marker bindings and those are the best.
One of my friend's brake broke and he has only ridden them for like 3 days
