IDK...at first, I thought the same...creepy. Who would honestly go outa their way to rock a jersey with a skiers name on it...?

BUT, it's like you mentioned, very similar to other sports. Wallisch is a pro now and he idolized by skiers, both young and old, across the industry. Just like basketball or football or any other sport, up and coming groms rock jerseys of the athletes they look up to. I think it's the same thing with Wallisch, or it could be any other skier for that reason. I thought it was creepy at first, but it's basically the same as rocking their pro model jacket or likewise...i think.
