got a used pair of ar6s from a friend for a good price, but have had some binding troubles in the past year and have been forced to re-mount. after this set of bindings it'll be the fourth time the skis have been mounted. i just need to get buy to wait for next years skis. can it be delt with for now?

Three is generally the max before they become pretty sketchy, I would wait and buy some new ones before next season

getting through a month will probably be alright, but i donno about windells, your probably going to push yourself a little more and thus push the skis a little more than normal, and when their that sketch, it may not be smart

at the shop i use to work at we used to say 3 was the limit. but it also depends where theyve been previously drilled and you could get lucky and push past 3

3 is USUALLY the limit, but if your BSL is significantly different than your friends it mights not be a problem, it just depends on how far the holes are apart. (close=weak) If you dont mind moving the mount point forward or back a couple of centimeters, give the shop guys a "range" (draw lines on the ski so they dont fuck up) where you want them mounted and tell them to make the holes as far apart as possible, but still be within that range, that way they'll be the least likely to explode. Getting different bindigns can help too, since they have different mounting patterns. (ie, the px12 mounting pattern [heelpiece] is very long, but the fks mounting pattern is very short, so they could be monted at the same spot without any problems)
Also, if you dont ski super hard its not as big of an issue, but still important nonetheless.
I'd say go for it, you might as well try, and if they die early, you can say you gave it your best shot. maybe start saving for some new skis lol, before they break, if they do at all. Hope this helped

Just one question. If i re-mount my bindings three times (which is maximum), will it affect my skiing? Will my skis be the same as the first time my bindings where mounted? Or how will it affect my skis if you re-mount hem 2-3 times?

^^ from what ive heard it weakens the ski but it hasn't effected my skiin at all. and talk to your local shop for input or post another thread as i did. ideas..

After 3 mounts, the holes will be reasonably close together so it's commonly accepted that the structural integrity of the ski can be compromised - i.e - they are weaker and more prone to breaking, especially if you are thrashing them on jumps etc
All times are Eastern (-5)
