Here's what you do. Get your friends super stoaked on the idea and then let them do all the work. Make sure to yell stuff like 'Put your back into it boy' or 'Did I say now, I mean right now'. This is also the best way to lose friends, but you don't need them cause you have a sick kicker.

Pack as much snow as possible into an area. Pour water on the face and sides of the jump. Wait for it to freeze. Pack more snow on top of it, and firmly pack every inch of the jump.

i just build a huge mound then pack it. once its packed shape it.. but if you shape it before you pack it your gonna fuck it all up

Use chucks of snow. and powder to fill it in. keep packing every little bit until the size you want is reached. do not use only soft snow. you'll punch right through the jump if you do.

well what jp and anthony do in the back country is that they make a bunch of snow blocks and set them on each other to make a huge rectangle jump then they carve it up

^Dig deeper. Blocks work well.

Alternatively, you can always poach someone else's jump. I find that to be the best method of backcountry jump construction.

stupid question, but is there anything i can do if all the snow is just dry and fluffy, and not deep,( so i can't dig down for better stuff)

make huge fuckin snowballs and roll them to where u want the jump. then u break up the snow, and pack it down. the good thing is its already packed and all u gotta do is shape it. its so easy.

when i wanna make a quick kicker for pow days - this usually works best. (takes around 20 minutes)

-start off by getting all your friends skis and standing them on thier tails, creating a wall for you to pile snow against.
-now continually pack snow against this wall until you get a jump looking structure - from there you should have no problems shaping it (but remember to keep the skis up until your done or very close to bieng done)
-If you feel like backflipping, the best way to add kick is to dig out the tranny, although it doesnt look like much it kicks you alot more.

if its too light and fluffy for blocks, you got to add water. this will condence all the snow so you need to add alot more. oh and if you cant get water and have a bunch of guys..... be creative.....

ace of spades has the right idea...u build a barrier like structure with skis, then pack in snow, thats how i always do it. its a lot better if u can build the barrier with snowboards, cause they're wider, so get some punk, gay ass snowboarder to help u build it, then use his snowboard, then tell him he cant use the jump. if they give u lip, then send they're snowboard down the hill, and they will most def., leave!

well, its pretty complicated you see. you have get the biggest pile of snow, pack it down and build a lip onto it!

Jibtechs got it right. Go to where they made snow and u can grab huge ass blocks of snow . Then just put the rest of the snow in the gaps

I usually just kill a bunch of snowboarders, place their corpses on the ideal kicker spot, wait for it to snow a bit, do a little lip shape and then shred.

shovels,saw, homies, extra goggles, lunch, salt, pepper, spray paint.
these are the things you need.
pack em all, find a gap, sidestep everything. cut out blocks, shovel out snow, pile blocks, pack down, eat lunch, shovel more, shape jump, side step, pack, shape repeat, salt shape pack repeat, eat more lunch, pepper for good luck, spray paint for good visuals, pop it!

yea get shovels then build a mound, afterwards take your snowbord friend and have him shape it with his board then hit it we did this the other day when we built a jump onto a down telephone pole and made a jib log it was crazy fun

Find as many snowlerbladers as you can and tell them there is a competition for the biggest human pyramid, and that the winning team gets 20 new pairs of carving blades along with personalized handicapped parking spaces behind the ski school.

Once they have assumed the position, use an ACME slide-o-rator to trigger a small avalanche directly upslope. The slide should cover the human pyramid and settle quickly. Then shave off the top of the pyramid (you might need a saw to get through the bony bits) and voila, one big keeeeeker, ready to go.

make a pile of snow pack it every now and then with the shovel. When u think its big enough put ur skis on and step it out and slide down and make the top flat so the jump doesnt crush on u.

question.... if your gonna build a kicker for a rail how tall should it be compared to the rail like a 6in kicker for a one foot rail???

depends if ur side hitting.
generally the closer the kicker is to the height of the rail, the easier, but you may be limited by the amt of runin speed u can get.

All I do is roll the snow into big ass snowballs as if I was makin a snowman and then line them up, fill in the gaps and pack it and shape it some more.
