the flyer i saw at the mwrsa show in madison last week had two dates. they either wanted to have it the weekend of march 28th & 29th which is the weekend before super park. the other day was the same weekend as last year april 18th & 19th I hope its this weekend.

march would be too soon. april is the best cuz u dont plan on snow anywhere. makes it that much more fun

They should do it the weekend of April 18th/19th because Granite Peak is also having a spring jam thing this season too. Theirs is scheduled for April 25th/26th.

well considering i changed all my flights home for spring break so i could make it to the alpine comp, i would be enthused if this occurred while i was at home.
but i leave on the 22nd so it probably wont happen.
but good to hear that at least tyrol is still open.
i will have to make a couple trips down. anyone interested?

Spring Jam Is Set For March 28/29

However, if we want it moved to April 18/19 a lot of people are emailing them to ask to get it switched. If enough of us email, we might get it changed.

i still think its stupied to have it that weekend. unless there worried about not having enough snow. so know i have to try to get 2 weeks off in a row for spring jam and superpark

could they have smud fly the weekend before the 18th & 19th? even though thats easter weekend.

the only good thing about having it earlyer is the snow will be better and there will be more snow to build better .

i am so confused. first i hear it it incredibly rainy and shitty in the midwest and all the hills are closing and now there is a chance of snow and burst may be reopening for the weekend.
either way, who wants to hit up tyrol while im home because the park looks/sounds sick?
do they still have the tuesday deal? how much is it again?

yea here in milwaukee we got around 2 inches of rain. and then a sprinkle of snow. up north they got like 6-8 inches of snow i think. its so random.

just emailed them. The reason spring jam is so sick is because of the date (and the set ups are always rad). When you think your season is over, just wait 3-4 weeks and BOOM! Tyrol is open for spring jam. I really hope they change the date.

can't believe no one has said this yet but why not have two spring jams. one in march and the other in april. that way all you people saying that spring jam isn't fun unless it's in april can go up in april and hike a few rails, while the one in march will probably have jumps and a lift running. i checked there site and it said they have 16 - 36 inches of snow. i also checked the weather for the area and its up and down but mostly warmer temps. i'm no snow scientist but i think that most of the snow will melt before mid/late april. that's why they need to have it in late march. i don't see why everyone is upset that they are going to have it in march. sure it's not going to be 60 degree weather but it's still skiing and it's still going to be a blast regardless.

2 would of coarse be the best but the later the better cause it would be nice to have a good early sesh but if its later that means i can ride 1 more time before summer  i personnaly just need a couple rails and boxs and id be stoked

I got this email from tyrol today...

Thank you for your feedback regarding our 20th Anniversary Celebration on March 28th & 29th. We first want you to understand that this is NOT a Spring Jam. We are holding our 20th Anniversary Celebration in lieu of our Spring Jam this year. We wanted to include as many current and past customers as possible so, we sent out an email to all those on our email list asking for votes as to when to have the event take place. Due to an overwhelming response to hold the event in March, and combined with the fact that we are concerned that there will not be enough snow to have as successful an event as we have in the past, we have decided to hold the 20th Anniversary Celebration on March 28th & 29th.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We hope that you will join us on March 28th & 29th as we celebrate 20 years of Tyrol Basin. We have a lot of fun activities planned and cannot wait to celebrate with all our wonderful customers. Thank you for 20 great years!!!

Not too bad, actually. I haven't been to Granite yet this year and it looks super super sick. That will be a day trip, 2 hours there, 2 hours back. Tyrol is 35 minutes there, 35 back.
