Mt hood's summer public park

yo, i'm planing a trip for this summer and was wondering if the summer public park is sick at hood, because i can't afford a camp. All the videos i see from hood seem to be filmed at windells.

a bunch of my friends go every summer and say it is dope.

im planning on making a trip out there this summer as well. $50 a day i believe

i went two years ago to camp but the public park has some rails some small jumps and a pipe. It is not as well maintained as the private parks

depends on what time of summer you go up, but yeah, summer public park is dope, i thought it was better than windells last year. 

early summer they will have 4-5 jumps ranging from 40-55 feet, prolly like 10 rails and a pipe.  as summer moves on, it moves closer to the lift and gets less, but if you go between late june and mid july it will be dope guaranteed

well alot of the 4bi9 edits are in windells some of it is in the public park witch has some sick rails a nice pipe and good jumps

sure theyre good, but its annoying to us public riders that every windells group is always in the public park cause their park doesnt have jumps.  we have to wait 15 minutes for 50 kids to follow martini and collin collins through the jump line to be taught how to do a shifty.

yeah i know what you mean i just went to mhssc and sean decker was my coach we just messed around and its alot more inexpensive than windells not as good of a park but there some shots in the jiberish edits

I live in PDX and rode the public park every weekend last summer.  It changes a lot through the year, but it was pretty sick the whole time - There was good stuff through the fall this last season.

That DOS Media edit (sorry, I don't have the link) with Tom Wallisch doing the Rodeo 5s with his hand behind his back, that was the big jump  in the public park in July (not the Turbo jump, that was in the Windell's park).

yeah that shit is annoying,

but the public park is really good.  i was there for june 4th to the 20th or something and it was really nice that whole time.  4 jumps in the line, probably 20ft up to 50ft.  i loved it and am going back this summer to ride the public park again

Some people camp (in cars) in the parking lot at Timberline, but the go-to spot is the Airstrip outside of Govy
