almost everything. the first jump when it was first built was around 45. not with the rain im gonna say its 30 35 ? the second jump you used to be able to send about 55 ft now prob on 45

Rails no, well maybe the urban down is like 15 but the jumps are like 35ish to knuckle on a good day. But i wasn't there today and with the rain/grooming/certain snowboard people making alterations to things who the fuck knows. As of yesterday (Tuesday) they were decent. Landings kinda flat but you get used to that

almost impossible, you'd have to go so fast that theres no way you'd be in control to hit the second jump, or to hit the rail if you hit the 2nd jump

sure there is. you hit the first jump with speed, used to be mad poppy a couple days ago hit the second jump and then hit the rest. works fine for me and my friends unless west changed it up.

I don't push anything. I don't drive/ride in the cat. I agree it should be steeper.

Its west what do you expect. Take it for what it is.

If you are who I think you are Im not the one who was a douch to you the last few times you were at west. I don't have any problems with you or any people you are friends with.

its in the ground so far I dont know if any one pushed a jump for it. It has feet that are like 5 feet tall and the whole rail is bent so all in all its another piece of shit

Yeah, its not a bad rail. I went up there with some people and we had the snowboard park crew guy make us a jump upto it. it was a little close but it slides well. he told us that they were going to bei fixing it up etonight i think. If you guys make it a gap to rail itd be dope to spin off of. He also said you still have a flat down from mountsnow kicking around. If I were you i'd put that sucker in the ground and pull out some of those little guys.

after a few days of riding this park I have only a few things to say: 1. steeper landings! get in that cat and just cut the landing steeper. 2. longer landing on the barrel, and take some kick off it so you can hand plant it or tap it; right now it shoots you up way to high. 3. jump to the round bar. really mellow to get some good spins off. 4. set up that mount snow shit.

a kid threw a switch backflip that won. but kids were thorwing switch rodeos rodeos and bio's and shit. main reason the kid won because he was super steezy, and dillion C won basically everyother event. that might not be why though i'm just guessing.

The mount snow down flat is pretty goofy, and the only other thing we have from them is a rainbow rail thats on the smaller side

Mark reads this stuff and tries to listen to what we want but there are various reasons shit never gets done. Mark may also be going to cutters camp this april.

Dillon (kid in yellow) is sick. What I was told is that he didn't do too well on the rails or something. But the judges fuck up a lot and some of them are douches in my personal opinion and don't know shit. Also Dillon has raped all the other contests and won a ton of shit including skiis so im sure that was crossing thier minds.

Im sure you don't want to read all this but its on my mind so it might as well be writen.

Alot of the shitty set up is a result of west mountain ghettoness.


West has one groomer for the whole mtn and he isnt a park specific groomer.  Craig the groomer is a good groomer but  any park requires daily cat work above the daily tilling, not just getting to it when or if you have the time. For example how there is a perma rut forming in every single jumps landing. It wouldn't be so bad if it got patched every night and leveled out, same with the take offs, a tiling once a night doesnt cut it especially when it is warm out. Thats why all the take offs are shrinking so bad. We do end of the day maintance every day now to prevent the ruts from having to be tiled down to nothing to get the ruts out.

When we get to build shit we are at the mercy of when its convienent to the one groomer. At the minimum we need some one to be able to come in with a beater cat and rough things out with  full attention to that and only that and when its done just have it groomed up. West has a bombadier cat and one old pisten bully as well as a few ghetto single cab ones that are missing a tilled but can still cut and push snow. The pisten bully I have seen run and could be used for the building work.

 Alot of things get started or laid out by hand with the intent for the cat to finish and/or fix. But then the cat work never gets done and then we have to make due and open it. Example: that flat round tube rail, I intended for someone to push a take off that was mellow with the cat. but then Some one built one by hand which was crazy poppy and really short and its been running like that since.

Also I personally don't have the same goals as some people on the staff. Some people like to just set up shit so we can get by with it or so they can hit it that night which is why half the rails are set straight but freeze up crooked and are fucjed untill one of us fixes them. The down box would be a good example of that Im not to keen on the its good enough so send it attitude.

yeah to be honest the reason i dropped out was cause of the shitty course. the landings were just TOO flat, and i was expecting it to be soft.. it got all cold and shitty.
and i hadta go home and eat some birthday cake, but that was kinda optional.

Yeah. The seven days before were 40+ with no freezing at night and the day the build happened it was changing over to freezing. The temp change fucked us pretty bad

yeah i havent been to west in years but i think those guys have done a pretty good job with the cards they have been delt. i was a lil bummed bout the comp one of the dudes i came w/ didnt even land his run n placed which i thought was funny/cool for him but i did a sw right 5 to left cork 7 n didnt even place outa 5 ha

The judges were inside edge employees. They  are pretty crude/negative and are snowboarders, except Dan who was just a random guest judge who im sure did a legit job

Dane is right on about that. I feel bad about it after reading everything. The judges down by the rails had everything on lock down, but the guys on the jumps(from Inside Edge) are snowboarders and just didn't have a clue. The past events with the Sports Page guys as judges went a lot better. Hopefully we see everyone again on April 4th at West for the LINE/Full Tilt Jam.
