Does anybody ever think about how hard it is to be a basketball Referree?

seriously i feel like you need alot of talent to spot every touch and pretend like your not ever doing a make up call even though you are sometimes.
like just get in the head of a referree it must be like a serious thing to ref a game

i think it would be hard to ref any game. having everyone hate you all the time.

My dad umps softball and used to ref hockey, and he said you pretty much just ignore both teams bitching, and throw someone out if it really bad. But yeah, he always said it was hard to call close plays, especially if he didn't get a good look and was basically guessing.

I think reffing hockey would be the toughest. watch the refs next time you watch a hockey game, they skate faster and better than some of the players. and they're constantly dodging pucks and players

i think its really hard for a basketball ref cause they need to split second decide if a foul is offensive or defensive and they have to catch the slightest touch from a reach in.

yeah thata how it is really, i ref hockey and for the4 first little while everyone bitching at you gets to you a bit, but you get use to it. and there was saying someone told me if they are yeling at you (the crowd) your doing sometihng wrong , and if they are yelling at you your not doing good enough or something like that i dont remember it haha
