I'm skiing in Isola 2000, France and I start talking to a few french shredders in whatever broken french I can muster. From what I understand, this ski, a ski one of the kids were using, is built just like the afterbang. Layers of wood, skateboard construction, pressed with no plastic sidewall. I'm not sure if it's 7 layers of wood, but there are mostly if not only layers of wood. He told me they were pretty sick in the park, and they felt pretty light to me. It's made by a company called Hammer, and called the Come-X, I saw some french reviews but have no clue what any of them say.
