Shit son, Get those things remounted, theres so many people that get them mounted at sportcheck were they bought them, and get screwed with big air forward and such. Get them Remounted at a reputable shop like destination ski, or northshore ski and board, or anyother shop that specializes in high end equipment. Get them mounted big mountain forward, inbetween +1 and +3
good luck

I'm asuming that you live in vancouver,(you said that you tried them on cypress). Destination is on marine drive in north van, its down the street from park royal, and north shore ski and board is on Lonsdale road(upthe street from the seabus 17blocks)thats were i got mine mounted, and they did a very good job.

of course it has a negative affect, It alters the structural integrity of the entire ski. It's like having them mounted normally BUT You have a bunch of little holes that make the ski weaker. It doesn't make tooooo much difference but if you're jumping a lot or skiing real hard and giving the ski a beating then it will break a lot sooner and easier.

it shouldn't really bother the ski too much...especially since it would only be the second time you are mounting it...the only problem that you will have is that it will be restricted to where you can re-mount the bindings.. this is since you will not want the newly drilled holes to overlap the original ones.. as for strength, the mad trix ski's sold at Corbetts have 8 drilled holes in them, and they still hold up pretty well..

just make sure they use something to fill the old holes. im pretty sure that most places will do this, but you really dont want anything getting into the ski
What category do I fall under? I've never fallen under a category. I fell underneath a car once, and I haven't been the same since.

man, if the shop fucks up and forcing you to have them remounted them again (drilling another holes), you should consider on asking them to replace your skis cuz of too many holes will weakn up the core.
always have professional, deicated and experienced ski-shops work on your skis rather than these chain department stores like laacke & joys, and mcsports.

^the effects of the redrillings and remounts will basically only become apparent around the 3rd or 4th time you redrill/remount.
so if its only the 2nd remount, there isnt anything to worry about it.

for anybody reading this DO NOT get your skis mounted at sportchek!!!! I worked there for 6 months in hardgoods but the techs always had to ask me how to do something. its pathetic. they came in with no training and watched videos. scary
'some say i'm that girl... i say, wow that's wonderful! but you're still not getting any. now quit sniffing me! i don't even know you!'

Listen, because here is your answer!
Go back to sport check, and get really mad! Find a manager, and tell him that you want a new pair of skis. Tell him that your tech does not know shit, and mounted your skis backwards. Tell him that remounting is unacceptable to you, and only a new pair of skis mounted in the correct position while you watch and supervise the operation will be acceptable.
If he tries to tell you otherwise, ask for the number to their head office, and take your skis with you and leave. Call their head office, explain the situation, and they will more than likely do their best to make you happy. I would not be suprised if they got you another pair. Then go to a different store to get them mounted, and make sure it is done right.
Trust me, this is how that company works.
What location did you get them at anyways??

I bought my madtrix at abominable in calgary and they mounted them back from the big mountain line so i got them remounted forward a few inches.
