Replying to Summer jobs/apartments close to glaciers?

This might just be a pipe dream of mine. However, I am 18 years old, im going to college either next year or i am defering for a year. My friend and I want to bum it at Mt. Hood or any other glacier such as whistler. Can anyone recomend cheap apartments/good jobs that are close to the moutain. Im sure this thread will help other people too since im not the only one who probably want to ski bum it at a glacier.
