Solves all your problems. I run hestra vertical cut freeride in the PNW where it is wet as hell and have no issues. Sure you need to coat them a few times a year, but they are better all around (this is coming from using the dakine bronco Gt as well as tons of other gloves).
I would screw using the stuff they gave you and get the real shit. Basically what I found with the hestra balm.
What you wanna do is heat your oven to like 180 degree or so, put the gloves in for a few minutes until they got warm. Pull them out, put them on, and lather them up with the Snoseal really good. Then put them back in for a few more minutes, take them out, and repeast 2-3 times. Do not over do it, but 2-3 coats and they will be nice and waterproof.
They outside may look like it is getting wet, but it can't get thru the layer. Reapply as you go.
