what do you guys think? personally, they are my favorite band and i think they are one of the most talented groups of musicians. im talking about metallica from their first album [kill em all] through the black album. i dont really listen to much metallica after that with the exception of Load every now and again.

so what do you guys think of them?

I'm not usually one to uphold bandwagon ideas, but in this case they are true. 

Old Metallica=The shit!
New Metallica=Shit!

It kind of baffles me how I can love and loathe one band so much.  I also wonder how they can possibly be happy with the things they have released to the public in more recent years.

I'm not really a metal guy, I usually listen to jazz and blues and indie, I just really happen to like 80's metal.

the new album isnt actually THAT bad. some of the songs sound like some shit off of justice.

My girl loves the shit out of them, I don't hate them but it's not really my thing... Heroes of the Day (I think it's Live only) is a fucking dope song though, they have some good shit.
