They seem busy and arbitrary to me.  You might be interested in some of Kandinsky's work, he's pretty much the shit:

He also has a book called Concerning The Spiritual in Art that would be worth checking out.  A lot of it deals with his theories on color, but it's a really good read regardless.  I know this isn't totally like what you are doing, but it's one path leading far past classroom pencil doodles that is somewhat related.

I just think that there is a lot to learn by studying other's work.  You absolutely should NOT copy it in any way, but to make observations on composition, dynamics, form, color, etc can be immensely beneficial.  No work of art is totally independent of everything around it; we all have influences, and it is not a bad thing.

haha thatnks to everyone who gave an opinion, the reason i was asking for thoughts on them is because i really enjoy drawing but i always thought that they all completly suck. everyone who has seen my drawing say their sick but the only people who have seen them are family and freinds, and you can't trust people like that to give you honest opinions.

also aneigma thanks for showing me Kandinsky's stuff, he has some nasty ass art. i sorta see why you thought i'd like that. also to the kid who said i should try to draw more like Kandinsky, i really don't want to draw like anyone, i have created an original style of drawing that i really enjoy doing and i want to keep it original.

Totally ill, me and some of my friends started doing a doodle book and are thinking of publishing and were no where as good as you, Definately keep up the sick work.

There is nothing wrong with looking at past artists for inspiration. Einstein once said the key to creativity is being able to hide your sources. One thing that could push your drawings farther is to work on varying your line weight a bit more, and if you want to get better at drawing you should go to open drawing sessions in your area where you go and draw naked people for a few hours. It really helps and it is fun to do.

nice work. you have a definite style going. the best advice I ever got about art was to "take it further" push the concept to the extremes....  If you are looking to expand and get better try pushing yourself to draw outside your comfort zone by trying different techniques and subject matter. Also, like everyone else said look to other artists for inspiration.  Drawspace.com is a pretty cool drawing resource that has lots of good classic drawing lessons, also youtube has some cool drawing stuff if you search it out. Take a drawing class if you haven't yet, you have lots of natural ability and classes would really help you build on it.

i have always been sketched out of takeing art classes for a couple of reasons

1. i feel like my art wouldn't get good grades in class and it would just kill my confidence

2. i feel like alot of what i will learn will just add limitations and border to what i can do. (which may or may not make it look better to other people)

3. when i am foucused on drawing something that looks good i usually get afraid to try knew things in my drawings. when i draw i just draw whatever comes to mind and i don't care if it might look shitty. if i am doing something for a grade then i will be afraid to be creative

idk i haven't tooken an art class since elementary school so i dont know what it will be like

I had a lot of the same reservations and was pretty intimidated about the whole thing,  but I learned a lot.  I am a pretty average at best but was surprised at what I was able to accomplish. I guess a lot of it depends on the instructor, but my experience was a really good one.

In the end just do what is most fulfilling to you because thats what its about.

Art classes usually grade on effort, if you want to make your art then just put a lot into it and you can't do bad. Also, you can't be afriad to screw something up. every artist has stacks of screwed up shit in whatever medium they work in, and that is also how you learn to get better.

I like them, you might want to try some more simple designs, like where the Durka Durka one is going. They tend to have a lot to look at, not all of which is necessary, I just kind of scan it for a minute, and then feel like moving to the next picture, even though I haven't absorbed all the visual information. In a word, "busy", so you could get the same effect with a less complicated drawing. They are really creative though. Also it's nice to use some better paper than looseleaf for drawing.

can you honestly tell me where you draw influence and ideas from? im pretty good at drawing myself(check out my pics if you want), but for some reason when i come to this kind of shit or any random design, i cant think of shit to do. i wind up just takin bits out of things i see online or in magazines, and mixing them all together to look good. what do you do?

To tell you the truth my influences were pretty much drugs:( thats when i firts tried doodling and relized i loved to do it. pretty much i just have no plan at all for my drawings. i just draw a line then a line or curve or something off of that, then mabye add in a scribble. and as i keep randomly building of off what i had already made i will relize that something almost looks like a face so i'll add a couple lines to that to turn it into a face. after a while i might come up with a cool concept that i want to make the picure into but for the most part its just spontanious drawing, just building off of lines i already made. this probably didn't help you at all, i am a little confused about what i  just wrote.

you def have some good talent here. Clean up your drawings and make them look cleaner, more professional (i.e. straighter lines, smoother gradients) and also practice your figure drawings so your characters become more life-like and real. Keep it up! you have a cool stye
