Is centermounting worth missing around a week mid season?

so i got more into park this year and i want to get my 08 fujatives center mounted, is it worth it now or should i wait till the summer? if i do do it should it be true center cause i still like skiing powder alot.

why would you skip a week? i got some new skis, got them mounted in 30 minutes.

True. Set up an appointment with your shop if it's the waiting list that's making it take a week. Set up a time to come in and have them do it right then.

And yes, center mounting for park and skiing switch, and just jibbing in general is a really good move. It makes skiing so much more fun. You can still ski pow near center, but unless you're out east and don't get much pow you would want either two pairs of skis or a compromise. I skied invaders last season in west coast powder, and it didn't work really well, but now I have some bacons mounted near center, and they're perfect in the pow.

If you still want to ski all mountain I wouldn't.
Park is sweet but it sucks when you get into crud or pow and realize that your skis are too far forward to work. I learned 5s on ARVs mounted at -7, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem if they're a little back. If they're like.... -3 it won't really be a problem.
JP mounts his PCs at -3 and Jacob mounts his at -1.
Besides, in that week that you would miss you could be riding park.

On that note, what are they mounted at?

i would ski anywhere with center mounted ski's...(last two seasons in CO and this season in VA) whether in trees or groomers i think it can work either way... i just find it to be a lot more enjoyable having your ski's center mounted

get it done at your local shop.. offer to pick them up a bottle of whiskey or a half sack if you want them to do it quickly and they seem cool

If you only ski park centermounting is the way to go, but otherwise don't do it unless you have 2 pairs of skis...

you cant ski properly with centermounted skis anywhere outside the park. its crap in powder or on groomers or anything else really...  im sure you could get used to it eventually but its just not good.
buttttt it all depends on how much park you ski really.

for all mountain, mount 2cm back from true, and you will be in golden shape.

i've done this for years, and its pretty much perfect.

Well i have symmetrical skis, and although almost everyone says not to, i mounted them about 2cm back from center (they are really supposed to be mounted dead center).

I love them, i can hit up the park, and i actually can rip down groomers so fast with a ton of control and i can carve really well. I mounted them a little back because they are more all mountain skis, maybe like 15% for park

Yep got mine mounted at -2 1 week ago and its perfect, good in park and groomer but I still didnt try powpow with center mount

on the side of my skiis it has a line graph that goes from core center then counts up to 7 then says mid sole, core center is just the thickest part right? should iget them mounted there?

core center is halfway between the tip/tail
well true center is, core center may be another name for it
