Invaders are the least durable skis I have ever owned. They're a fun ski but not durable at all. You want durability, be prepared to shell out a little extra cash.

Dude, yours were the 05/06 ones. The "delaminators". Those ones were pretty bad... I liked the duct tape.

I have some 06/07 invaders, and admittedly I don't ride a whole lot (maybe have 60 days on them total), but they are holding up really well. No delam, just a couple gouges on the topsheet. They are doing well. I got them new for $150 Canadian in an after-season sale.

the surface watch life is pretty soft i dont know how durable or cheep it is.  might be worth some investigation.

Get some invaders.

On evogear they are 189 $

im 5'6 and ride rails and boxes like 99 percent and usually never hit jumps(bad ankles). what size would you recomend the 161 0r 171 invaders

Weight and ability would help when deciding a pair of skis..

171s would be good as long as you're not 110 pounds. They're soft skis so they're easy to get on edge, so the length isn't a huge deal. Also, assuming you center mount (as you should) the skis will feel much shorter. 161s would be fine if you're just on rails tho.. lighter and quicker. 171s would be a better fit, however.


As for a cheap durable ski.. get the invaders. After the delam dillema of the 05/06's they've built a beefy topsheet. I had the 06/07's, and they did chip after some hard riding, but they held up great. Keep in  mind that topsheet does nothing besides affect the cosmetic aspect of the ski. The edges on my invaders never cracked. The top of the topsheet has a nice clear plastic coat that seems to be working very well.

I have Invaders really durable they're awesome, although I am gonna get Armandas next year and see what I like better Line or Armanda and go from there but yeah I'm not switching from Line because the Invaders suck. They're great for everything and the top does chip a little but they hold up on my skiing.

dynastar trouble: soft: good for jibbing, but not too soft, so you needn't worry that your skis pop you in the air when landing tricks on bigger jumps. I like em alot!!

There aren't really any except D-structure, and by the looks of things they don't have them. I live in Canada, and I got sierraskis or whatever the site is (at that time it was sierrasnowboard.com), and they got it accross the border and shipped to me within a week. Super dope service. Evo ships to Canada too, and they're really legit.
