Going to participate in a few small comps tomorrow...
So, I just found out that my little ski area is having a few small comps in the terrain park tomorrow afternoon. The park was just finished last weekend and hasn't been ridden yet. I heard one of the comps is a spine competition. It is a small park and doesn't have many features but I guess they fit a spine transfer in there. I am going to enter the comp and probably will only be going up against 15 other kids. I am not that great yet though. I have 3's and stuff on lock but don't know how well I will do. Does anybody have any ideas as far as simple tricks to do off a spine that will be manageable and possibly score me on the podium?
ooohh
ill be in it dude
ive probably seen you around but idk who you are... myabe i do
whats your set up look like?
i have a blue coat and yellow pants
idk the spine looked pretty intimidating i could only get 5's on it and its pretty damn hard to grab em on it.
the park turned out awesome and itll be running tomorrow morning theres like a 20 footer and 3 rails... haha thats about everything we could fit in the tubin hill
Good luck man, I've been meaning to get down to Juneau for a long time, my dad goes and telemarks there on business trips, but i've never made it down. Hows the snow this year? Fairbanks is pretty rough.
We've got a 12 and a half feet at the top and a little over 5 at the base. We've had pretty good snow but nothing like the past two years. We were spoiled for them. And rather than building the park normally this year, they decided it cost too much and was too late in the season, but they allowed riders to come and build a mini park on the old tubing hill by the lodge, which is sweet and better than nothing. I am heading up in an hour and the park should be sweet, it hasn't been hit much this year since it opened Thursday.
Only things i can think of would be a super long nose pick/stall/whatever-you-wanna-call-it or maybe a ninja flip/handplant frontflip if you're allowed to transfer over the spine.
