My brother is a mechanical engineer at Washington University in St. Louis. He gets to have fun now, as a senior, but he has a shit load of work.

He's also looking for a job and there's so much competition. He has gotten a lot of interviews with some really good companies and he either hasn't heard or got turned down. One is with a company that builds boats and submarines for the Navy and they haven't told him yet because obama is trying to end the war and cutting back on spending and therefore they don't know what their job situation will be like.

im doing electrical and computer. gen eds suck ass like all the calc and shit but core classes are fun. they are hard as shit too but its a lot easier to learn it when its interesting. im planning on a bachelors and masters which will take 5 years then if its possible and i havent killed myself i want to get a Ph.D. in something like embedded systems or signal processing

Friend of the family used to be an engineer here making roughly $100,000 a year. He is in Dubai now making almost $900,000 a year and living like a god damn king. Kinda makes me wanna boost my math mark...

Anyways I would suggest engineering. All of those Seiks (or however you spell it) will give you large amounts of cash to pretty much do anything.
