Not really. The difference between some of the heaviest bindings and the lightest bindings is usually less than a pound. It's funny when people say bindings are extremely light, and they are only 100 grams lighter than the average binding.
You would need to shred pretty hard to notice a difference in binding weight
I've got some older ar5's with p12's and they are the heaviest park setup i've EVER felt, but that doesn't mean I could ski any better, or even feel the difference when i'm skiing on something lighter
Yeah, it really makes no difference. Because a binding is so close to you're feet, they don't affect the swing weight of the ski, so you spin just as fast as you would with a light binding.
exactly, the only time it may affect u is if ur legs are really tired and u have to ollie a bear....but that generally dosent happen...actually one more thing hiking..yea it might affect u there but who dosent want burly arms?
It doesn't effect swing weight whatsoever, but it will effect the weight of your feet. Even then, you won't be able to tell the difference in weight between most bindings, with the exception of a few super heavy race stocks (s916)
