at the risk of being unpopular, he didnt point out anything very fantastic.
i mean, i am not a negative thinker or complainer, and yes i am fairly happy with things right now. and yes, many people have lost sight of things.
but... air travel has standards, yes even the shittiest flight today is way better than traveling in a wagon, but that was then, this is now? i dont complain if the flight is late or whatever, and i get mad at those that do, its just... being idealistic does not solve the problems that DO exist here.
what he said was true, and i think people will start to appreciate things more.
still, at 22 years of age, i cant get a loan for a 5 thousand dollar car with my mediocre credit (which was totally possible 3 months ago, i could have bought a fuckin STi), my hours at work are cut to 24 a week (thank god i have a job at my age), my insurance has been brutally reduced (MAJOR thank god i have insurance at my age), its now harder to find rents, harder for me to pay my tuition, im probably not skiing much more this year because of money (i know, boohoo).
spark notes: this post blows cause it makes no sense.
spark notes pt 2: while we still live at a very high standard, thing have gotten worse and are affecting everyone in tangible, negative ways. maybe we will focus on being happy, maybe some will default on their mortgages. i feel sorry for everyone having a hard time right now.
