I used to get shin bang pretty bad too, one time i couldn't walk for two days. I got some tecnica agent boots with an adjustable rear spoiler that i move down as far as possible so that it's below my calf muscle. Don't know how it works but i think it now doesn't smash my calf muscle into my bone then my shin into the front of my boot. It's now so much better. Might get some booster straps though, it sounds like they work. Anyone know a few sites on the net to get them? Also anyone who says land better is kidding themselves, everyone lands backseat every now and then, specialy if your trying a new trick.
FOOTBEDS FOOTBEDS FOOTBEDS.
Your foot sliding forward on stock footbeds allows your shin to hit the lowest plastic part of the boot that is on your shin, if that makes sense. A footbed that works for you(with an arch) will stop this.
Booster straps don't help this. I had booster straps but after getting footbeds found them to not do much. I don't have any real gap around my calf though, and I have to set my upper buckles to the looser setting..
Exactly. I believe that Full Tilts reduce shinbang but does anyone have an explanation?
