JJ vs. SFB need help quick..

 Need some help..

1: I used the searchbar

2: I can get both ski's at a low price but i have to decide very quick

3: What ski do I need? Wich ski is better for all mountain? And with all mountain i mean all mountain, so also the groomed. I need the ski that is the best on the groomed, not that i will only be using them only on the groomers, but it would anoy me if it would really suck on the groomers because I live in europe and to get to the tree lines or powder hills I will be going over the groomers pretty much..

4: What bindings should I get? I am 190cm tall and weigh 75kg (166lbs)..

5: Thanks ++ Karma for those who ride JJ's or SFB's and help me out..

alright. i ride the bacon (09) and i absolutely love it.  for groomers, they're honestly soo fun. when i first skied them, i rode down a groomer at whistler so fast, and my bacons could carve like a gs ski. they have so much sidecut! 142-115-139... also, i really like skiing my bacons in park. i don't hit rails on them, but landing on them is so easy.  you can butter them if you put your weight into it, but they don't flop around at high speeds.
overall, the bacons are so fun, but i can't compare them to the jj because i've never tried those...

get bacons. jj's wont perform as well on groomers cause of the elf shoe crap. that is of course if your talking about 09s. if you can get a deal on 08s id probably get those instead of bacons if i were you cause they have regular camber and sidecut.

which jjs are you looking at? jjs from the past have always been regarded as great pow skis but because they were soft and with little sidecut they weren't worth much outside the pow. however, the 09 jjs, a totally new ski, is one of the best skis ever made. rockered, but not too much and wider underfoot so epic in pow. stiffer underfoot so better in variable conditions. more sidecut so great on piste.

therefore if you are comparing bacons and 09 jjs, get jjs. if you're comparing past season jjs and bacons, get bacons.

bacons sound like a more suitable ski for you... heard so many times how they destroy anything you throw at them. i was about to get a pair of bacons this year but ended up getting blends (just better for my needs), but i'm dying to at least try bacons out and find out for my self what's all the fuzz about... sound super fun.

Excuse me, but have you even ridden JJs?  They're AMAZING on groomers.  I love my JJs on groomers, they can make sweet, sharp turns, or you just haul ass and do GS style turns..

JJs kill the pow as well, the rocker in the tip makes them float and there's NO tip dive at all.  Hands down a super fun ski.

As far as bacons go, I can't say, I've never rode them.

i've owned both, and bacons are better on groomers

jj's kill it everywhere else, so do bacons really, bacons are better on groomers, jj's are better in pow

bacons are more traditional, making them hold an edge better, feel longer, and engage at the fatter tips, so bacons are better on groomers. once you get used to jj's they're fine but bacons are definitely easier to ski on groomers
but you sacrifice awesome pow and crud performance by getting bacons, don't get me wrong they kill it but jj's are better in pow and crud

I just skied my Bacons for the last few days in whistler pow and I tried out a few of my buddy's rockered skis aswell. I love my Bacons as an allround ski but if this ski is going to be your "powder" ski, get the JJs.

For bindings.. I dont weigh much, 75kg (166 lbs?) so what should I get? I like the Jesters, but they are to much for me? Griffon is the same with lighter spring inside right? But can I get wide brakes on them? Or what other bindings should I look at? Thanks!

i have my jjs at -4 from center between where tanner -3 and jp -5 have thier mount points and they perform great on groomers.  sometimes i take them to the mountain and leave my 90mm waist skis at home even when the mountain hasn't had much snow.

i have jesters on them and i'm about the same weight but with all gear im more like 185 pounds  i'm more of an agressive skier so i can put the din up higher.  and i also got the jesters for 250 dollars new with wide breaks so i couldn't give up that deal.
