this year's getting fucked up. call me dramatic. but whatever, after seeing the story about the Quebec couple on the news tonight, i got kinda upset and pissed off.

-late and dangerous season
-high avalanche risk in Dec.-Jan.
-one gondola crash and one lift crash in whistler
-economy crash in the midst of the season
-2 snowboarders dead in whistlerblackcomb from avalanches
-2 skiers dead in whis/black from hitting rocks
-Maris Jose Fortin dead after being stranded outside of Kicking Horse for 10 days
-Eight snomobilers dead in Fernie BC
-Riley Poor of Poorboyz productions severely injured after crash in January
-Travis Steeger, hit and killed by a car on his 19th Birthday in Fernie, BC.

What else am i missing?

i hate to say this but most years there is a lot of avalanche deaths. the snow cycle that dumped on bc in early january was exceptionally dangerous, and was the the main contributure of those deaths. its not so much that it has been a bad year for deaths but more so it has been brought to the forefront of the media. RIP to the lost souls that were out enjoying what they loved most. its always sad to hear of people dying in the BC. be safe everyone with this fresh dumping of snow
