I was thinking of seting up like a permanent rail/box thing in my yard. Would it work to dig a hole and put the support beams in them, then filling it with cement as a good base? I want a really sturdy set up. Thoughts?

cementing it in would definitely make for a very sturdy jib.. just make sure you put it in a good spot cuz theres gunna be no relocating it...

i am going to suggest not putting cement right into the ground. What i would do is put the legs in 5 gallon buckets then filling those with cement and burrying them. That way if you ever have to move it you can

that would make it super solid which would be sick but like everyone else is saying, you never going to be able to move it, or remove it which might make it kind of a pain

oh word, Im gonna try that.
and I am putting behind this big berm thing in my yard, with a bunch of trees. So my parents won't care, because there is nothing behind it. I can't wait to build it.

lol if you cement it into the ground directly and decide to sell your house, i wonder what the real estate agent will say.
