NS Help Me TINT My Car

alright, so i have an 06 subaru impreza wagon in regal blue pearl, with the two tone black/grey interior. it looks like this

Now, I am in the market to get it tinted. It needs to be kept legal (i live in Utah, so at the darkest 35% front, and it can be anything rear and back). Im wondering whether to just keep it uniform and go 35% all around? or 35% front, and like limo (5%) rear? or 35% 25% back 15% rear hatch? what do you guys think? also, pics of your tinted car for reference would be greatly appreciated.

well i got 35 on the sides and 20 on the back window on my black maxima with black interior.  it doesnt look very tinted when its mad sunny out but when its cloudy or at night it looks DOPE.  i have a couple friends that have 20 andthey say its mad hard to see at night but it looks alot better and has alot more baller status haha.

5 on everything in the back and 35 on the front.  the back will be so dark that it'll make the fronts seem darker than they are.

do you guys think it looks whack if the backs are wayyy darker than the fronts?

and also, im a cheap ass, so do you think i could just buy $20 film from checker and do it myself, if i took a few hours on it and really focused on doing it right? or is a body shop the only way to go?

my dads bmw is parked away for the winter but its got 45 in the front which is the legal in ct and the front side are 25 and the rest is 5. Also, we are getting black rims because of the brake dust. Its gonna be dope. I might get some pice up when we take it out.

And to help you out. get 35 in the front and 5 all around. Its the dopest thing cuz people look at ur car a lot so when they look all they see is their reflection but COMPLETELY NOTHING inside so its funny when im sitting in the parking lot alone and people come up and try to look inside the car but they try to look in and i see them trying but they dont see me HAHAHAHA.

I dont like haveing different color tints I like the same all the way around except the back window doesnt bother me.  On my next car Ill prolly go 20 percent except the very back where ill go 10 or something.

Get 25% all around, I have it on my car and the legal limit is 35% for fronts, and I don't get any flack for it and if I do get pulled over, I just put down both front windows and it's all good.

and I must say get the same tint all around I don't like it when there are two tints on the windows, it looks awkward, just my opinion though.

1) Don't do it yourself.
2) Spend a little it makes a car look so much nicer.
3) I have 10% all the way around on my car and it looks bamf as fuck.
4) Go as dark as legally possible all the way around
5) Heavier tints in the back than front look like poop.

completely agreed. My cousin has 35 around and it looks bad.
My friend has 35 front, 25 back, 15 rear and it looks fucking awesome.

honestly cops wont pull you over if your between 35-45. thats not even that dark. I drove an escalade with 20% tint over the factory tint , you couldnt see anything through it at all. and the front was 20's. Get the back as dark as possible and get the two front windows 35%. The two front windows will be very dark due to the rest of the car not letting any light in. But if a cop checks its legal. I would go with as low as you can go and say you bought the car with tint already on it. That seemed to work when cops would ask. And if they ever try to take off your tint or fuck with it just say you will get it removed by a professional. A cop ripped off the tint once and it left all this glue on the window which costed a bit to get it removed when the re-tinting was being down again.
Highly advise you dont go pussy 43% all the way around. Practically a waste of time and money.

go all the way dark as fuck all around or at least under 40% in the fronts and 5% in the back.
dont go really light all the way around.it sucks balls

Its not that big of a deal haha. I am at 10% and its like 35% here, never had a problem.

The difference between 43 and 35 is not too much.

Also if you are going to be a siss and just do 43 don't waste the money thats like putting saran wrap on your windows. Ain't tint at all.

Tinting your car is badass looking . Anything legal is not badass , therefore destroying the point. Its your car but its not gonna be my fault when your kicking yourself in the nuts because you shoulda gone darker. And no, when you decide to go darker. I wont help you pay for it.

if you must go legal or slightly under legal. go 15/20/25 whatever your professionak tinter has

put your 35/43 in the front and then your dark shit in uniform in the back.

so like 35/43 front and then from there 15-25. I feel as if you have like anything real low in the back and then a real light one up front it will look awkward. so go for something thats relatively close together .

not like 43% in the front and presidential crazy in the back.

Go 35% on back and front windows
Go 5% on the back passenger windows
Go 15% on driver and passenger side windows

Dont be a pussy and get it dark all around your car. Get 5% on everything. If you get pulled over, just roll all your windows down. The only reason tint is illegal is because, cops dont want to knock on a tinted window and have a gun pulled on them.

I dont know about your state but here in VA they can pull you over for just tint. Alot of times they use tint to pull you over and then if your sketch enough they pull some i smell weed or something.
My friend has 5% all the way around on a murdered out Audi A3\

35% front sides
5% rear sides
25% hatch window

I have 5% on the sides and rear of my pickup and I had to get really good with the mirrors.  it sucks having to roll you windows down every time you back up.

so it really is bad having super dark on the hatch? i was afraid of that but most of my friends with 5 say its no biggie... hmmm. what about 15 rear sides and 15 rear hatch? cuz i feel like your idea would look really whack...

According to an Idaho cop, my front windowns are 28% and the backs are 13%. So i recommend 35 up front and 15% or 10% in the back, its the way to go.

def go 35 all around, if theyre darker in the back than the front i think it doesnt look as clean. thats just my thought though. Also i have 20% all around on my car and its really hard to see at night out of the front windows to back up with mirrors etc.

must be a personal preference then.  I personally think it looks better darker in the back.

and to the creator: It doesn't look that wierd with the hatch lighter because the back windows don't let any light in.. therefore not much more light is coming out.

Get 15%. You won't get ticketed, and it's dark but not too dark. I've gotten pulled over for no front plate a few times, and other things, and never gotten a tint ticket. The one time it was noticed, he measured it and it came out to be 11%. I just said it came on the car when I bought it and I would take it off. They don't care enough.

i think this is 15%... i bought it like this and have kept it on for over a year though =].  the front window looks lighter because of the white garage wall behind it, but its actually pretty dark normally.

and also if your curious about your tint laws there is a website dedicated to it now. just google it.

andddddd it all depends on how the cops are in your area as far as if they will car or not. in my area, a suburb of philly, they care A LOT. because they have nothing better to do.  in philly however, you will never get stopped for it and everyone rolls around in limo tint haha.
